My work in this series explores the contrasts of light and dark, focusing on themes of self-discovery, empowerment, and the reclaiming of personal and collective strength. Through layered compositions, I invite viewers to reflect on their own inner worlds, encouraging a deeper connection to themselves and their creativity. I also approach the symbols I use with an intuitive mindset. In this 2023 series, I combine acrylic paint and photography on wood panels. The photographs feature my friends as models, grounding the work in personal relationships while also addressing universal struggles and triumphs. By blending portraiture with abstraction, I aim to capture the complexity of identity and the ongoing journey toward healing and wholeness.
