The habotai series builds on Wabi-Sabi principles, where simplicity enables expressive freedom. Minimalist structures allow for bold gestures using diverse materials like ink on Japanese silk (habotai), watercolor on canvas, oil stick on paper, and acrylic on wood. Created during the 2020 pandemic, these works were showcased in a solo exhibition at Desta Gallery in Mill Valley, CA.
