old story / new story
read artist statement
In 2015, I created the mixed media series Old Story - New Story as a reflection on the intersection of past and present, of loss and renewal.
Through the portrayal of faceless women, I sought to capture a universal sense of identity that transcends individual features, focusing instead on the emotions and stories that lie beneath the surface.
These figures, bursting with vibrant colors and textures, represent both the fading remnants of lost dreams and the promise of new possibilities. The absence of faces invites the viewer to project their own experiences, while the dynamic energy of the work suggests a journey of transformation and hope.
