read artist statement
I will never forget the moment I completed my first sculpture in 1995. It felt as though the work had been created through me, rather than by me—a deeply spiritual experience that ignited an intense drive to create. While most of my sculptures are crafted from welded steel, I have also worked with wood, concrete, and a combination of stone and steel. My sculpture has been exhibited nationally and internationally, receiving several prestigious awards and becoming part of important permanent collections. Although my last sculpture was completed in 2005, I anticipate returning to this medium in the future.
