fiberglass

read artist statement
In 2006, I wanted to find a distinctive way to showcase my photography (for my Crush Series), something beyond traditional framing. So, I decided to create molds and cast fiberglass sculptures. The images were printed on rice paper and sandwiched between layers of resin and fiberglass. The result is more than just a frame for the photograph; the pieces transform into mysterious, translucent forms, glowing from within. I have used this method for several bodies of work dating from 2006 until 2015.
